The name Mahi-Mahi comes from the Hawaiian language and means "very strong", in reference to the fish's strong swimming skills. It has firm, flavorsome flesh that makes excellent steaks for grilling, BBQ'ing, frying or baking. Its milder, semi-sweet taste makes it an excellent choice for a variety of seasonings and dishes. The meat is firm and meaty, suitable for curries and tempura, keeping its shape well and holding up to strong flavours.
